The Filblast is a multistage static reactor that promotes interaction between solid, liquid and gas under pressure through a combination of velocity and direction change combined with shear. This enhances mass transfer/kinetics which improves recoveries in precious/base metal extraction.
The Filblast reactors are designed to match differing volume flow ranges. The following size Filblasts are available: •4 m³/hour •20m³/hour •60 m³/hour •110 m³/hour •150 m³/hour •200 m³/hour •250 m³/hour •350 m³/hour •450 m³/hour •550 m³/hour •900 m³/hour
Energy is supplied to the Filblast through pressure head delivered by a pump. Gas (air or oxygen) is introduced at the front of the Filblast and is intimately mixed with the liquid/ slurry phase as it passes through the stages of the Filblast chamber.
